Discovery over 'warp speed' planets
Scientist say that there are runaway warp speed plants flying through the galaxy at a small fraction of the speed of light. Computer simulations predict that black holes acting like a slingshot rip planets from their orbits and fling them across space at a massive speed. These warp speed planets also know as "hypervelocity planets" travel at seven to 10 million miles per hour but some could reach speeds of up to 30 million miles per hour a small fraction of the speed of light. Astronomers already know that stars can be catapulted across space by black holes. The first runaway star was discovered seven years ago when astronomers spotted it flying out of our galaxy, the Milky Way, at 1.5 million miles per hour. These warp speed planets would be some of the fastest objects in our galaxy
